Chemistry Olympics Team wins at the NJ Chemistry Olympics! (Contributed by Dr. Marco Pagnotta, D-E Science Department)

D-E Science Department teacher Dr. Marco Pagnotta shares the winning the experience of NJ Chemistry Olympics. Dr. Pagnotta says, “we have been doing NJ Chemistry Olympics for at least the last 20 years. I have been involved as a coach since about 2002. (Ann Marie Reardon was the coach before me.) This was the 31st NJ Chemistry Olympics – it is a statewide chemistry competition held at NJIT where teams compete in anywhere from 4 to 6 out of 8 possible events that range from research done at the school to demo show to doing experiments. We usually send two teams of twelve. This year the freshman team of Linda Chen, Ashley Chang and Mahir Behl did a demo of Boyles Law in character (costume). On our other team Nikil Kokra, Chris Liu and Matt Lee placed 3rd in a chemical engineering challenge.” Congratulations to the D-E Chemistry Olympcis Team!
