Sneha Bapana ’19 & Kenneth Yan ’19 Win Third Place in Bergen Science Challenge

Then-seventh graders Sneha Bapana ‘19 and Kenneth Yan ‘19 competed in the second annual Bergen Science Challenge on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Bergen County Academies. This science fair is open to all New Jersey middle school students in grades 6 to 8 and encourages them to do a research project in any field of science. According to their advisor, Middle School Science teacher Cary Rosillo, “Their project, ‘Algae and Fertilizer Runoff: Impacts on Dissolved Oxygen in Freshwater Systems,’ placed third in their category. They were competing amongst other projects within the Behavioral, Social and Environmental sciences category. They were quite proud of their work and are already planning for next year. It was an honor being their advisor for this project.”
