Visiting Groton School Musicians Provide Lunchtime Concert

Forty-five student musicians from the Groton School of Groton, Massachusetts, stopped by D-E for an exchange concert on Feb. 13 in Hajjar Auditorium. The program began with Groton’s orchestra – under the direction of Chamber Orchestra Conductor Tim Terranella (pictured below with Performing Arts faculty member and composer Diego Garcia) – playing Mozart’s Overture from The Marriage of Figaro. Then, our Upper School Orchestra played Mr. Garcia’s El Gato before StringJam played a piece by Argentine tango composer Astor Piazzolla. Groton’s orchestra and stage band took the stage again to round out the hourlong lunchtime concert.
