Everyone was encouraged to bring blankets and in light of the bright sunny day, donned new blue D-E Bulldogs baseball caps. The Assembly featured the performing arts talents of many of our students. Among those showcased were Malachi Samedy '22 and Kristen DeRoche '24, who performed a beautiful duet adaptation of "Human Nature"; 2nd grader Jayden King '32, who wowed the crowd with his virtuoso violin solo; and Madigan Kacmar '24, who sang a soulful "Times Like These." D-E's teams in Cross Country, Field Hockey, Girls' Tennis, Boys' and Girls' Soccer, and Volleyball all already have had several meets, matches, and games. Girls' Varsity Soccer was victorious in their shut-out 8-0 game against Harrison; Boys' Varsity Soccer beat rival Lyndhurst 3-2 in a golden goal (sudden death) overtime; and Varsity Field Hockey roared back to beat Passaic Valley 3-0 after an earlier loss vs. Butler. The hallways and sidewalks of Klein Campus Center were also festively decorated by the Class of 2022 . A wonderful new tradition is the ringing of the Class Bell by our freshman class each September. The Class of 2025 will ring this same bell when they graduate. We are so happy to see our seniors, our freshmen, and all our students back on-campus together!
