D-E's Swartley Art Center is currently featuring artwork created by 40+ students from Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools, all with a focus on Surrealism! The exhibit includes 2D and 3D pieces ranging from charcoal sketches, watercolors and oil paintings, to ceramics and skateboards. In the Middle School Buildling, students blended innovative design and architectural, engineering, and physics concepts to create an exciting paper roller coaster "explo" competitive showcase. And 12 D-E Middle and Upper School students recently won Scholastic NJ Regional art awards ranging from honorable mentions, silver, and gold keys including this Comic Art piece, "What's Wrong" by Jayla Willis '24.
