Within the Visual Arts & Design department, the opening of the AP Art Gallery Wall is a culmination of students’ breadth of work over the past school year. Led by Arts & Design chair, Marisol Diaz, students prepare over fifteen works to submit to the College Board. The course provides an opportunity to show their range in artistic skill as well as concentrate in a particular theme or media. This year’s cohort offered works on consumerism and its relationship to self-perception, waste in environmentalism, and the politics of COVID-19. Art holds a mirror to our times, and our students succeeded in expressing their insightful perspectives.
