CHEERS to Chess Tournaments @ D-E! The most recent D-E 360° Chess Tournament was a huge success, with nearly 40 participants from 5 schools coming to the D-E campus to share their love of the game! In the Grades 4-5 division, D-E 4th grader Mack G., took 1st place! After four rounds, Mack was the only player in the tournament to have a perfect score – all wins, no losses or draws! In the K-Grade 1 Division, Carlo W. tied for 1st place, and in the Grades 2-3 Division, Amanda Z. won. Despite the typical intensity of any official chess tournament, the goodwill during the competition was palpable, new friendships were made, and fine sportsmanship was on display. The next D-E 360° Chess Tournament is March 17! Register today: visit https://de360.d-e.org/youth-enrichment/
