We were in for a treat for the South Asian Heritage Day Middle School Assembly! Students were dressed in beautiful sarees, lehengas, kurtas, and other traditional clothing while speaking on so many aspects of South Asian culture(s) from food, spices, history, music and more. There was even a mock Jeopardy Game (South Asian Pioneers & Trailblazers Edition!), complete with jeopardy-style teams and stands. The assembly ended off with a Bollywood dance showcase and a surprise faculty performance with dhol drumsticks! Students left the auditorium with a samosa to taste. Thank you to all of our students and South Asian Parent Affinity Group for a wonderful assembly!
