On Saturday, Nov. 23, D-E’s Middle School (MS) Robotics Teams competed (and won awards!) at the regional FIRST LEGO League Tournament in Clifton, NJ. Our Nano Navigators (6th graders Aadya, Ethan, Brian, Samar, Siana, Kaveer, Jad, Omie, Aiden, and Naveen) won highest-performing rookie team; Nitro (7th graders Jacob, Audrey, Arielle, Chloe, Conner, Ellie, Harper, Parker, and Andy) won the Robot Design Award; Neutron (8th graders Seyhun, Samir, Iris, Jazzy, Olivia, Sasha, Noah, Christine, Defne, and Konner) won the Rising All Star award for their mentoring and outreach; and Youth Mentors Nellie and Michael from our Upper School Robotics Team were both nominated for Youth Mentor of the Year. Congrats on your hard work, everyone! And special thanks to our MS “Bulldog ‘Bots” coaches Colleen Larionoff, Chris Carroll, and Yi Li!
