D-E’s LEAD and VDAY students went on a service trip to the Women’s Rights Information Center in Englewood to help clean their offices and basement for new donations. They spent the afternoon organizing clothing donations, disposing of trash and old furniture, and labeling donations. They also heard from Executive Director Lisa Maurer about all the different kinds of work the center does. The service trip was a collaboration between the LEAD Program and VDAY. LEAD stands for Leaders for Equity & Diversity and is a signature program of the DEIB Office. VDAY is an annual performance group focused on gender equity and empowerment. Thanks to our dedicated students who came together to “make it better” for our community!
