Women in Finance Hosts a D-E Alumna, J.P. Morgan Banker

May 20, 2025 | Recent News, School Life Highlights

D-E’s Women in Finance student organization, facilitated by Faculty Advisor and Chief Financial Officer Angela Artale, recently hosted alumna Neesha Khanna ’09, a private banker at J.P. Morgan, for a conversation on building a career in finance. Ms. Khanna answered questions about her professional journey, job responsibilities, and work-life balance. The D-E Lifer (since 2nd Grade) reflected on her time at the School, including serving as President of the Cultural Diversity Club (now known as INSPIRE) and being on the tennis team.

Ms. Khanna earned her master’s in finance from New York University and currently provides investment advice to clients, including wealthy families, endowments, and foundations, on topics such as asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection. She’s also responsible for finding new clients.

“I love working with families,” exclaimed Ms. Khanna, who noted that she becomes integrated into her clients’ family dynamics and often takes on the role of “financial therapist,” especially during times of instability. As for her advice to Upper School students interested in this field, she said: “Internships can help you narrow down your specialty… ask a lot of questions!”
