Oct 10, 2019 | Our Community of Learners

We received this update from Aaron Dworkin: “After nearly 12 years with After-School All-Stars, I have just left to become CEO of the National Summer Learning Association. (www.summerlearning.org).”

“Our mission is to ensure all kids in the country, regardless of income level and zip code, have access to participate in positive, high quality and affordable summer learning experiences. We partner with government agencies, nonprofits, businesses and foundations to elevate and grow existing programs, incubate new programs where they do not exist, conduct research, advocate on the Hill and celebrate and communicate “best practices” to the education field. The 25-year-old group was started by Johns Hopkins University and is currently based in Baltimore, but it will soon be moving to DC.  Of course, I continue to be inspired throughout my career to offer D-E quality learning experiences to as many children as possible.”
