WOW & Way to Go Alex Sheffield ‘26!!! We’d like to give a huge (mathematical) round of applause to Alex for his incredible achievements in Mathematics this year. Countywide, Alex finished 1st in all of Bergen County in the Bergen County Mathematics League (BCML), in which about 28 schools and 567 students participate. Statewide, Alex finished 12th in the New Jersey Mathematics League (NJML).

Nationally, Alex then scored in the top 1% on the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 10) and in the top 25% on the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME). His combination of scores earned Alex an invitation to the United States of America Junior Mathematics Olympiad (USAJMO), a competition which invites only about 250 students nationally!
