D-E’s Cater to You Dining Team Honored in End-of-Year Assembly!

Jun 6, 2024 | D-E Traditions, Recent News, School Life Highlights

As per D-E tradition, the annual end-of-year assembly recently took place under the big tent on Leggett Field, for all Middle School (MS) and Upper School (US) students. The assembly included the annual presentations of the 2024 editions of Calliope (D-E’s US literary journal) and Parnassus (D-E’s US foreign language literary journal). The final edition of Spectrum, D-E’s US student newspaper, was also presented. The major highlight of the assembly however was when the Carpe Diem (D-E Yearbook) club leaders officially announced their honorees for this year’s 2024 Yearbook: our Cater To You Dining Team! Club leaders read from the dedication inscription in the 2024 Yearbook, which includes the following: “From spending early mornings cooking up something special to staying late cooking up a storm, our dining staff is locked in 24/7. When it comes to keeping our bellies full and smiles wide, this crew always delivers.” While the audience heard each Dining Team members’ names read individually, the Dining Team gathered on stage to receive the 2024 Yearbook and enjoy a D-Eserved standing ovation.

CONGRATULATIONS to our D-E Cater to You DIning Team and CHEERS to a wonderful school year in student-led publications!
