D-E was thrilled to welcome back alumna Soyoung Stephanie Moon ’13, whose art is on display in Swartley Gallery now through Oct. 29. An optical artist, Stephanie guest lectured Upper School students on her painting technique, which uses tape as a tool to create the sharp lines that form the grids in her work. Afterward, she greeted D-E friends during a lunch reception, where she passionately discussed her “Alchemy” exhibit, including works inspired by nature. Stephanie revealed that her next series will focus on depicting “strong personalities,” such as Billie Eilish, as her muse.
