DEIB Cultural Showcase 2025 Highlights

Apr 11, 2025 | Affinity Group Activities, D-E Traditions, Inclusive Excellence, Recent News

Bravo! D-E’s Affinity groups shined bright during our Second Annual Cultural Showcase! Dynamic live musical, dance, choral performances and videos from the Black, Chinese, Latino, South Asian, Korean and LGBTQ+ communities kept the audience in Schenck Auditorium engaged and entertained. More than 100 students from all three divisions were involved as performers alone. Following the Showcase, everyone headed to Wharton Lessin Dining Hall for a D-Elicious food festival featuring treats from our Jewish Parents Affinity Group (JPAG) and Korean Families Affinity Group, just to name a few. “The success of this event was truly a collaborative effort, made possible by the incredible support of the DEIB office and the dedication of so many involved parents,” said Kalpana Bains ’99 P ’28, ’31, Co-Chair of the South Asian Family Affinity Group, who helped organize and facilitate three Bollywood dance routines. “It was inspiring to see so many groups come together this year to share aspects of their culture with the broader community—while having so much fun in the process!” Events like this celebrate D-E’s commitment to our richly diverse, inclusive community—and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who participated!
