US Business Finance Class Zooms with Goldman Sachs Reps

May 6, 2025 | Recent News, School Life Highlights

This morning the Upper School Business Finance class hosted a virtual visit with representatives from Goldman Sachs, facilitated by D-E Chief Financial Officer (and Business Finance class teacher) Angela Artale. Sandra Schubert, a 25-year veteran who manages 14 employees at the global financial services firm, described her work in private wealth as “helping families and nonprofit organizations think about the future” and “following the markets to give our best advice to our clients.” Ms. Schubert’s colleague, Kevin Kim, whose sister Sally Kim ’23 is a D-E alum, also spoke during the meeting from the perspective of a young professional on the marketing team who handles social media and thought-leadership campaigns, in addition to organizing 200 networking events a year for existing and prospective clients. During a Q&A session with students, Ms. Schubert remarked that students needn’t be math majors to move into her line of work. “You do need to be comfortable with data analytics,” she said. Addressing another question, Ms. Schubert added that because of its fast-paced environment, large, top-tier financial firms will give someone starting their career excellent opportunities for on-the-job training and learning.
