As shared in the last issue of D-E Today, earlier this academic year the Board of Trustees announced their unanimous selection of Dr. James Calleroz White as Dwight-Englewood’s next Head of School. Board President Dr. Ami P. Vaidya ’91, P ’24, ’26, noted, “Amidst an intensive and competitive international search that uncovered numerous highly skilled and talented educators, Dr. Calleroz White clearly emerged as the leader most uniquely suited to guide our school into a bright new chapter filled with promise, excellence, collaboration and compassion.”

Since this announcement, Dr. CW (as he prefers to be called) visited several times this spring, both on-campus and off! We were thrilled to welcome Dr. CW to our All-Community Weekend, including the highly successful Bulldog Bash 2025, and Spring Carnival, in late April. Dr. CW also attended Commencement for the Class of 2025 .

Dr. CW begins his tenure as Head of School on July 1, 2025. In the months leading up to September 2025, and throughout the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year, the D-E community can anticipate hearing directly from Dr. CW. Welcome Dr. James Calleroz White to D-E!
