A Spirited Ending to Spirit Week 2025!

Nov 3, 2025 | D-E Traditions, Recent News

After a super-spirited series of fun activities this entire week, ranging from lunchtime challenges and sporting events between the four Upper School (US) classes; themed apparel days for all three divisions of the School; Makerspace pumpkin decorating contests; Math & Programming Challenges; a pep rally; and finally a US closing assembly, Spirit Week 2025 officially ended on Friday, 10/31. Following the US closing assembly, which featured a Halloween costume contest, musical chairs,’human hungry hippos’, and a “Thriller” flash mob, congratulations ultimately go to the Class of 2026. Our Seniors managed to take the win after being in extremely close competition all week with the (2nd place) Juniors (Class of 2027)! Best of all: All proceeds from Spirit Week 2025, including those from the week-long Coin Wars competition, benefit the local Center for Food Action. Impressively, $9,079 was raised – an official Spirit Week record! In the words of Debbie Rivera Murphy ‘11, Dean of Student Life: “This (money) will be put to great use, helping our neighbors in Englewood and Bergen County – an amazing community achievement!”  CHEERS to our D-Edicated community! CHEERS to Spirit Week 2025!!!
