Spirit Week began with Pajama Day, during which students from all three divisions, along with faculty and staff, walking around campus in their comfy clothes. The day also included boys’ and girls’ soccer games on Leggett Field between the Sophomores (’27) and Seniors (’25), resulting in a win by the Class of 2027.
Next up was Glow Day, which had Middle and Upper School students “glowing” with bright and colorful clothes and accessories. The Leggett Field soccer games continued at lunchtime between the Freshman (’28) and Juniors (’26), with the Class of 2026 pulling off the win. Meanwhile, Chubby Bunny, another D-E Spirit Week tradition for which students must say “Chubby Bunny” as clearly as they can with a mouthful of marshmallows, was won by the Class of 2025.
Midweek, students proudly displayed their favorite sports teams’ apparel for Jersey Day. Upper School limbo contests on Leggett Field during lunch added to the energy of the day, as did the final soccer competition between the Sophomores and Juniors—which finished with a W for the Class of 2027.
On Thursday, for “White Lies Day,” students and faculty wore shirts that displayed light-hearted claims such as “I’m taller than you,” “I’m the legitimate VP,” and “My hair never gets frizzy.” The week concluded with lively games of Musical Chairs, Hungry-Hungry Hippos, and more.
Once the Upper School points were tallied, the fired up Seniors came out on top. Congrats to everyone who participated in D-E Spirit Week events—Go Bulldogs!
