“Being a Designer is Awesome!”  -Erica Sellers ’08 of Studio SII

We welcomed Erica Sellers '08 and her partner, Jeremy Silberberg, to speak on "Creative Freedom: Being a Designer is Awesome" to our Middle and Upper School students. Based in Brooklyn, Erica and Jeremy run Studio SII, a design firm based in Brooklyn, NY. They spoke on their journeys as product, interior, and furniture designers and their experience competing in Ellen Degeneres' design show, "Ellen's Design Challenge". Taking inspiration from anime, biology, and even climate change, Erica and Jeremy take design to new heights. A selection of their artworks can be viewed in person at the Swartley Art Gallery until early-mid November.
