Girls MS Tennis

Dec 21, 2023 | Athletic Highlights

“This has been an outstanding season for the Middle School Girls Tennis Team. We had a great team of sixteen players this year, including nine eighth graders. Many of our players were on the team last year, and it was remarkable how hard they worked in the off season and how much they had improved since we said goodbye last November. The players continued to make great strides this year, despite there being so much rain interrupting matches and practices. Since we were an older team, we had a great deal of depth behind singles players Zaina Alberaqdar and Ella Singh. We dominated all our opponents this year losing only to Horace Mann, a traditional powerhouse. This year we had competitive matches with Horace Mann and Chloe Hwang and Sonam Lala won their matches vs. Horace Mann.  This year’s team was marked by excellent camaraderie and spirit. Everyone was considerate and supportive of one another and responsive and helpful to the coaches. We wish our graduating eighth graders well, and we look forward to the continuing development of the underclassman.”
