We’ve been growing a chess culture here at D-E thanks to D-E 360º, and our Lower School students are leading the way. This past weekend our Lower School Chess Team and Grandmaster Mac went to the Hunter Chess Tournament and had great success! Amanda Z. got 2nd place and a nice trophy in the 2nd-3rd grade unrated section. Adam Y. got 6th place in the primary section and a trophy. Mack G. played in a higher section of this event and had a very good score of 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. Raymond S. also had 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. It’s inspiring to see our youngest students lead the way. CHEERS to Chess @ D-E!
