In honor of International Day of Peace, observed annually on September 21, D-E Middle School gathered today in Schenck Auditorium for poetry readings from Zorena A., Portia R., and Livvy G., and a vocal performance from Justine B., celebrating this year’s theme of “Cultivating a Culture of Peace.” As part of the Peace Crane Project, students were then instructed how to create origami cranes from patterned papers, which we will exchange with partner schools in Texas, the UK, and Pakistan. We look forward to displaying the ones we receive!
