D-E’s Club Être recently hosted a Lunch & Learn with Yansi Fugel, the founder and CEO of Tux Couture. Her company specializes in making suits tailored for women with the goal of empowering women through clothing. Ms. Fugel appeared virtually to discuss the history of her company and the challenges she faced following a time of financial hardship. Her biggest piece of advice was to “be practical and observant of changes in the market.” She also cited “working with people, one customer at a time,” as her favorite part of her made-to-order business. Says club member Rhea Shah ’25, “We host discussions with various powerful women and take field trips to places including NASDAQ and the New York Stock Exchange with the founder and CEO of the company Être a few times a year. Additionally, we discuss important topics, such as women’s reproductive rights.”
