Bulldogs Ice Hockey Club Season 2 Highlights

Jan 3, 2025 | Clubs & Service Learning, D-E Traditions, Recent News

The Bulldog Ice Hockey Club Team, in its 2nd season, has been practicing and playing now for over a month, with practices and games at Mackay Arena in Englewood and the Englewood Field Club, as well as away. Led by tri-captains Wyatt Obergfell, Presley Arnone, and Michael Gelman, the team has had a bit of a rough start, but in the optimistic words of Coach Joe Iwanski: “Nearly all our games [thus far] have been tight, seesaw battles, essentially one goal losses… we are hopeful that the new year tips the ice in our favor a bit more!”

Coach Iwanski continues: “D-E players making significant contributions thus far include the aforementioned captains, along with Max Goyal, Alex Sheffield and Max Band (our goalies), Teddy Cunha, Max Ostrie, Max Lascher, and Abbie Agresta, to name a few. We took a significant hit in a game versus Fieldston when freshman standout Evan Wang suffered a broken leg on a quirky play and will be out for the season.”

CHEERS to our Bulldogs Ice Hockey Club Team for their D-Edication and grit. We look forward to seeing them on the ice as they continue their season!
