“Galentine’s Day” Celebration Highlights

Feb 13, 2025 | D-E Traditions, Recent News

The Middle School (MS) Girls Affinity Group gathered for a Galentine’s Day celebration this week, during which they snacked on sweet treats and made Valentine’s Day crafts for clients of Meals on Wheels North Jersey. “We got to… celebrate as girls, and enjoy some food and music. It was also fun to hang out with other girls from different grades,” says MS student Zoey R. Fellow MS classmate Cayla R. adds, “The valentines were fun to make, and we felt good giving back to our nearby community.”

Over in the Upper School, the One Love club hosted a similarly cozy card-making activity in Hulst House. The idea was to “think about all the relationships in our lives, not just the romantic ones,” says Bella Mayer ’26. Bret Glasser ’25 remarks that it was important for this event to be open to the greater D-E community. “It’s our way to spread some happiness, spread some joy,” adds Victor Pimenta ’25. CHEERS to spreading happiness and joy @ D-E… and beyond!
