LS Music Concert Showcases Grades 2-4

Mar 17, 2025 | Art & Design, Recent News

D-E’s Schenck Auditorium was packed with an appreciative audience for the recent Lower School (LS) Music Concert! Led by the fantastic Ms. Fiona Crawford, LS Music Teacher, and with Ms. Lisa Dove (LS Early Childhood Music Teacher) providing lovely piano accompaniment, students in Grades 2-4 enthusiastically embraced the performance’s theme, which was “Songs Old & New”. The concert offered something for everyone, from a Japanese favorite (“Sakura”) and Raffi’s “Evergreen, Everblue” to a spirited rendition of Gershwin’s “I Got Rhythm”. Upper School flutists Ananya Kannan ‘26 and Sophia Yue ‘26 joined the 3rd graders for a lovely rendition of “Wind on the Hill”, and 4th graders also showed off their skills on Orff instruments.  BRAVO to all our LS musicians, Ms. Crawford and Ms. Dove, faculty/staff and our families who helped make this year’s LS Music Concert one for the memory books!
