Way to go! Our Ethics Bowl Team made D-E history by coming in 6th place at the National Championship last weekend at UNC Chapel Hill. They competed against high schools from across the country, including Canyon Crest Academy in California, All Saints Academy in Florida, and The Westwood School in Texas. “Our D-E students were tasked with thinking through complex social problems using ethical frameworks,” said Ms. Debbie Rivera Murphy, D-E’s Dean of Student Life, who was a chaperone on the trip together with Mr. Joseph Murphy, Dean, D-E Department of Ethics and Philosophy. Ms Murphy continued, “Their thought-provoking arguments and responses demonstrated critical thinking skills that we at D-E aspire towards in our teaching.” We’re extremely proud of our Ethics Bowl Team for wrapping up an impressive 2024-2025 academic year!
