Emerging Technologies Club Partners With Women’s Information Center to Teach Digital Skills

Jan 28, 2026 | Recent News

Members of the Upper School’s Emerging Technologies (ET) Club recently organized a workshop on teaching key digital tools at the Women’s Rights Information Center in Englewood after learning there was a need for this training in the community. “As a club centered on exploring emerging technologies and their real-world impact, we saw this as a meaningful opportunity to use what we’ve learned to support and empower others,” said club leader Sylvie Yao ’27. “The experience was incredibly rewarding, and the positive response from the participants encouraged us to return for a second workshop and continue building on that moment.” In addition to these workshops, ET is planning to host a STEM Symposium in early April as a way for Upper and Middle School students to showcase any science-related work they’re especially proud of. Congrats to ET for finding important ways to “make it better” both within and beyond our school community!
