Arts Highlights Winter 2017

Mar 19, 2018 | Performing Arts

D-E students, faculty and staff, and alumni together have all created a rich environment of artistic expression thus far this 2017-18 academic year.

  • Featured performances by instrumental ensembles, including Stage Band and StringJam, provided appreciative listeners with ample opportunities to enjoy the classics, from Mozart to Mingus. Click here to read more.
  • The annual Winter Arts Festival, a series of live performances and art exhibits spanning several days, showcased the efforts of our youngest string musicians from the Lower School; students in Middle and Upper School wind, hand bells, African drumming, and orchestral ensembles; and student artists working in watercolor, ceramics, photography, and more.
  • Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet was performed in the most contemporary setting possible and featured student, staff, and faculty actors. Click here to read more.
  • D-E alumni artists, Visual Arts Chair Marisol Diaz, and visiting artists showcased their work in Swartley Gallery and elsewhere. Click here to read more.
