Our D-E 360° AfterCare & Enrichment (ACE) Chess Team has returned victoriously from the SuperNationals VIII held in Orlando, Florida this past weekend! WOW & CHEERS to our Lower School students who placed fifth overall in the country for the K-5 under 600 category! D-E 360° Director Dr. Sherronda Brown shared the following: “Congratulations all around! Special shoutout to Coach Mac (aka Grandmaster Mac), 8th grader Justine B. ‘29, Anna Radchenko ‘26, and the families who rallied to join the team as spectators for the four days. Please join us in also celebrating Kindergarteners Easton M., Aiden Z., Nicolai D., Kabir G.; 1st grader Oliver Y.; second graders Carlo W. and Raymond S.; and third grader Adam Y. Throughout the year, chess players have practiced in classes taught by Grandmaster Mac, after-school in open chess scrimmages, and weekend tournaments for this very moment. No matter the results, the D-E 360° AfterSchool Team is proud to see our Chess Team reach new heights. Go Bulldogs!” Hai Shang P ’35 echoed this enthusiasm, stating, “This was a fantastic tournament! It feels incredible to be part of this supportive, fun, chess-loving community!”
