Bulldog Bash 2025: The Sky Was the Limit!

Categories: D-E Traditions | In Print

Our 2025 Bulldog Bash was a tremendous success, raising $640,000 in support of financial aid – just shy of our ambitious $700,000 goal. Given the leadership transitions and broader challenges, this achievement is a true testament to the resilience and generosity of the DwightEnglewood community. We hit a record with 86 sponsorships and 402 attendees.

A huge “thank you” goes to HMart, our naming sponsor for the event courtesy of Ilyeon and Jinny Kwon P ’31, ’31. Interim Head of School Preeti Fibiger P ’24 and our Incoming Head of School, Dr. James Calleroz White, opened the room with warm remarks, expressing their deep appreciation to the community and their excitement for the school year ahead. Your generosity is a reflection of the spirit they spoke of, one of partnership, pride, and promise. The night continued with great heart and dedication by our Co-Chairs, Katya Gersten P ’28 and Lisa Lazarus P ’28, along with an enthusiastic committee of 40 parent volunteers and the tireless Development Office staff. Though the weather outside was anything but kind, the energy inside 583 Park Avenue was warm, bright, and full of joy.

Guests were treated to a captivating live performance by Malachi Nassér ’22 and his band, featuring original music from his new album. Malachi’s single dropped on May 1 and his artistry was one of the night’s many highlights. Roseann Todd P ’19, ’23, our Auctioneer Extraordinaire, energized the crowd during the Live Auction, which included a stay at the luxurious Cabot Citrus Golf Community in Florida and highly in-demand VIP tickets to Sabrina Carpenter.

Our community was deeply moved by the stories shared during the Reverse Auction. Viviana Torres ’17, a proud financial aid recipient, spoke powerfully about her journey through D-E and the doors that financial aid opened for her and her brother Sergio ’20. D-E Board of Trustees member and alumnus Dr. Sean Larry Stevens ’06, followed with an inspiring message that helped drive incredible generosity from our attendees.

As the night continued, DJ Shant kept the dance floor alive, and guests left with smiles and sweets courtesy of the Candy Zoo Truck, generously donated by Jennifer Rich P ’20, ’22.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who made this evening possible. Your support directly impacts the lives of our students and that’s what the Bulldog Bash is all about.

Mark your calendars: next year’s Bulldog Bash will be held on April 25, 2026, at Montammy Country Club. We can’t wait to do it all again!
